U.S. Senator John Boozman has applauded the efforts of talented college students interning in his Washington and state offices for their service to the people of Arkansas.
“These interns have been a tremendous help to my staff and to the people of Arkansas. I appreciate their dedication and commitment to being an ambassador for our state and my office. I’m confident they found the internship rewarding and learned a lot about the work we do on behalf of Arkansans,” Boozman said.
Amanda Chewning of Ashdown is among those completing a five-week internship in Boozman’s Washington office. These interns served by answering incoming phone calls, assisting with mail, and giving Capitol tours to Arkansans.
Several others interned in the state offices. These interns served Arkansans by writing letters, researching issues related to constituent services and federal agencies and representing the senator at community events and meetings alongside his staff.
