Cossatot River State Park is offering several programs this month including a special Mother’s Day Adventure Tour on Saturday, May 13th and Sunday, May 14th. Park Interpreter Shelley Flanary said she recommends you call and make a reservation by Monday, May 8th. She said the cost is $95 per person, but that includes the gear rentals, food and guides. She said participates will kayak, backpack, hike, camp, fish and cook in a Dutch oven.
Flanary said she will also be leading a cast iron pizza pan outdoor cooking workshop on Saturday, May 27th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. She said the cost is $40 per person if they want a cast iron pizza pan or $15 if they just want to enjoy the meal.
Park Interpreter Victoria Carson said the park plans to offer guided kayak tours May 20th and 21st from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. She said the cost is $30 per person or $25 if you have your own kayak. She said the fee includes shuttle transportation, a guide service, and use of a kayak, paddle and lifejacket.
