A Howard County man recently turned 103 years old. Marvin Hill lives between Dierks and Umpire and grew up in this area. He served in the military, a World War II veteran and remembers driving his first car in 1938, a Model A Roadster, in California. Marvin says he is very blessed to still get around and has numerous grandchildren. At 103, he is the oldest veteran in Howard County. Hill remembers when the highway was cut out between Nashville and Dierks. Hill says family is most important and to be thankful for what God provides.
