Mineral Springs to hold Special Election for Council Term Length

The city of Mineral Springs will hold a special election on December 12th to allow voters to decide the term length for city council positions. Mayor Bobby Tullis says that he is advocating for four year terms to begin in 2018.  Tullis says the term length is just one of several things that he has worked to accomplish this year in an effort to provide continuity by also passing an ethics law and placing restrictions on how much money a Mayor can expense without council approval. The special election will be held December 12th, with early voting being held prior to that.
