The NHS Student Council is proud to sponsor Spirit Week in conjunction with homecoming festivities during the week of October 16-20. This year, Student Council is also sponsoring “NHS Teens Helping ACH Teens!” According to Kaden Peebles, an Arkansas Children’s Hospital ambassador and NHS graduate, teenage patients there are in need of several items. These small, inexpensive items will help teen patients pass the time more enjoyably and provide some small comforts. So, NHS Student Council is asking for your help! We want all Nashville students to donate all they can for teens at Arkansas Children’s Hospital who need our help. Let’s show our Scrapper spirit!
MONDAY: “Stick” it to the Bearcats! We will collect Chap-Stick (or any lip balm).
TUESDAY: “Sock” it to Mena! We will collect fuzzy socks on this day.
WEDNESDAY: “Charging to a Victory!” We’re collecting phone chargers and ear buds (inexpensive kinds).
THURSDAY: “Deck the Bearcats!” Bring playing cards of any kind.
FRIDAY: “Scrub Those Bearcats!” On this day, bring travel size toiletries, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.
(Other items we’ll gladly take: pillowcases, lap blankets/throws, and cash.)
At NHS, the first block class that collects the most items will win a homemade breakfast! (Cash donations: $1 = 1 item).
Kaden Peebles and Student Council members will also be collecting these items at the homecoming game on Friday night, October 20. There will be a recognition ceremony sometime during the game to acknowledge the efforts of our schools. Thank you in advance for your participation and generosity.
