NJHS Track Teams Place First at Ashdown

The Nashville Junior High School girls and boys track teams won the Ashdown Jr. Panther/Merchants Relays on Tuesday (April 11).  First place finishes for the girls included Dakota Smith in the 200 meter dash, Ashley Chambers in the 800 meter run and 1600 meter run.  Jasmine Wakefield also placed first in the 300 meter hurdles and the long jump.  The Junior Scrapperette 4 by 800 meter relay team placed first and Maurelys Wade placed first in the high jump.

For the boys, they also had several first place finishes including Carmillias Morrison in the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash.  Da’Million Henderson placed first in the 400 meter dash with Randy Murillo first in the 1600 meter run.  Quincey Garland also contributed two first place finishes in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles.  All four of the boys relay teams placed first.  Garland also placed first in the triple jump.

The 4A Region 7 Jr. Conference meet will be held on April 20th at Nashville.
