Pantherettes edge Nashville in District Semifinals

Kenya Wilson of Ashdown hit the go-ahead free throw with 1.1 seconds remaining to help The Pantherettes edge Nashville 38-37 in the semifinals of the district tournament on Saturday.

Adaysia Thompson of Ashdown led all scorers with 15 points. Cambre McCullough added 9. Wilson and Lark Wilkerson each finished with 7 points.

Asia Munn and Alyssa Harrison paced the Scrapperettes with 10 points each. Madi Miller scored 8, and Kendall Kirchhoff added 5.

Ashdown will play in the championship game on Saturday against  Malvern beginning at 6 p.m. Nashville will open play on Saturday in the consolation game against Arkadelphia with the tipoff set for 3:30.
