Rotary Arbor Day Project

The Nashville Rotary Club recently donated several pine tree seedlings to Nashville Elementary School 4th graders.  President-Elect Carol Murray says the project took place as part of Arbor Day recognition and encourages students to be mindful of their environment.  Arbor Day is a holiday in which individuals and groups are encouraged to plant and care for trees.  Rotary International President-elect Ian H.S. Riseley of Australia has also made the case that protecting the environment and curbing climate change are essential to Rotary’s goal of sustainable service.
