Home Energy Assistance Program in Southwest Arkansas Starts July 25th

The Summer Utility Assistance program will begin the week of July 25th in a 19-county region to assist people with their electric utility bills, according to the Central Arkansas Development Council. Counties in Southwest Arkansas participating include Sevier, Little River, Howard, Hempstead, and Pike. 

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program provides federally funded assistance in managing costs associated with home energy bills and energy crises. The Central Arkansas Development Council office in Nashville is located at 103 West Shepherd Street. Their phone number is 870-455-0203.

Applications for assistance will be accepted beginning the week of Monday, July 25th.
