Two Charged Following Altercation in Nashville

Two individuals received charges following an incident that took place Saturday afternoon, February 10th, in Nashville. Linda Pettway reported to police that 40 year old Edna August of Hot Springs had shot the back of her vehicle around 11 a.m. during an altercation on Hutchinson Street. Pettway said that August was driving down the street and that she attempted to stop the vehicle so that they could fight, however August started waving a handgun around inside her vehicle. Pettway then went and got a piece of metal and hit the vehicle as August drove off. However, she did stop and fire two shots at Pettway’s vehicle. August was located and interviewed. She was arrested for Aggravated Assault following the interview and has bonded out on a $5,000 bond. Pettway was written a citation for first degree Criminal Mischief.
