Uncommon Threads Extension Homemaker Club made and donated sixty-five baby
blankets to the Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief program. The blankets were sent to Houston
through local relief collections at Sunset Church of Christ.
According to member, Judy Johnson, “Our club got together and made the blankets after
seeing a mother holding their baby wrapped in a towel. We thought they might enjoy a soft
blanket instead. It feels more like home and gives a feeling of stability.”
Other members who helped make this possible include include: Kathy Stinnett, Claudia
Berner, Jeanette McConnell, Louise Hicks, Rose Dale, and Wynema & Sharla Autrey.
