2.2 Carat Diamond Found in Murfreesboro
A 2.2 carat diamond was found at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro on Sunday. 26 YO Christian Liden traveled more than 2,000 miles from his Washington home for the chance to find a diamond. Liden’s diamond is the largest found at the park since October of last year. Liden’s dedication to gem hunting is driven by the desire to make a special and unique ring for his future wife. One with which the stones were found himself. Liden says he was beginning to settle for the idea of finding smaller stones for the ring and buying the main diamond himself. But he no longer has to worry about that. The park averages 1-2 diamonds found per day. As of today there have been 138 diamonds registered at Crater of Diamonds state park this year alone for a total combined weight of 20 carats.
