Hot Springs Man Charged In Pike County

A Hot Springs man has been charged with multiple counts following his arrest earlier this month in Murfreesboro. 39 year old Robert Shane Hill was initially being sought by police after they received a call regarding a suspicious person. As officer David Shelby was patrolling the area, he noticed someone matching the clothing description of the individual. As police approached Hill, officers say he took off running. Police eventually caught up with Hill but during the foot pursuit, they say Hill took off a jacket. Once he had been taken into custody, police retrieved Hill’s jacket and inside one of the pockets, authorities say they recovered a glass pipe and a piece of plastic that contained a substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Hill was transported to the Pike County Jail and has been charged with felony counts of possessing a controlled substance and possessing drug paraphernalia. He’s also facing a misdemeanor charge for fleeing.
