3 Arrests Made Tied to String of Recent Thefts
Three people have been arrested in connection with a recent series of thefts from the Umpire & Athens area. Howard County Sheriff Bryan McJunkins said 27-year-old Hunter Alexander of Athens, 42-year-old Marshall Counts of Newhope & 46-year-old Clyde Miller of Nashville have all been arrested this week on multiple charges for Theft of Property & Breaking or Entering. At the time of his arrest this week, Counts was out on bond for a previous felony charge. That bond has now been revoked.
During the investigation, Sheriff McJunkins said his department executed a search warrant at Alexander’s property, where authorities say they recovered tractors, trailers, bush hogs, along with other tools and equipment. The items were identified as property recently reported as being stolen.
