4 States Fair and Rodeo opens this Week

The 81st Annual Four States Fair and Rodeo kicks off this Friday night, bringing a full lineup of entertainment, special events, and carnival attractions. This year’s theme is “Lights Up, Let’s Go.”

Fair goers can expect around 30 rides on the midway, including 11 thrill rides such as a 63-foot Ferris wheel and Zero Gravity. There will also be bumper cars and a variety of rides designed for younger children. Unlimited ride bands will be available for $35 on April 3rd through the 5th and again from April 10th through the 12th.

This year, the fair is introducing the FunTagg digital ticketing system, which uses QR code-embedded cards—often worn as wristbands—for ride access.

A number of special events are scheduled throughout the fair. Hype and Glory Wrestling will take place Friday night, followed by the demolition derby on Saturday, April 4th at 5 p.m. The rodeo runs April 9th through the 11th.

Several promotional days are also planned. On April 5th, admission is free for anyone 55 and older. April 6th is $2 Ride Night. April 9th is Back the Badge Day, offering free admission to police officers, firefighters, military personnel, and first responders, along with up to three guests. Children 12 and under will also be admitted free that day with a paying adult.

General admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and under.

The midway opens at 5 p.m. on weekdays, noon on Saturdays, and 1 p.m. on Sundays.
