2021 Transportation Legislation
A look at a few changes that have been passed by the 93rd General Assembly concerning Transportation in the state of Arkansas for this current year.
Act 264: an amendment stating drivers must come to a complete stop no less than 30 feet from a bus when it stops to load or unload passengers.
Act 1061: if drag racing on a public highway and impedes the flow of traffic you could find yourself with a class D felony.
Act 558: leaving the scene of an accident with injuries is a class D felony. If serious physical injuries or death have occurred you can be charged with up to a class B felony.
Act 376: Hybrid vehicle registrations will be lower in 2022
Act 784: The maximum fine that can be imposed for a seat belt violation is $45.
