Good News Friday!

It’s Friday y’all and that means the weekend is ahead and to help move us into a great weekend is our Good News Friday. Thanks to everyone for your submissions and special thanks to Allison McCauley for today’s Good News. In today’s segment of Good News Friday we celebrate some good coming to our area. Specifically the opening of a non-profit rehabilitation and detox facility. Erica Tidwell has been working with state and local governments for the approval to move forward with this project and has recently received the “OK” to use the old Pike County Hospital building for this initiative. Having previously worked at a drug rehab facility myself I have seen first hand the impact that addiction can have on people, their families and friends, and the community around them. The addition of a facility in our own backyard to help combat this will help to improve not only the individual lives of those struggling with addiction but also help to minimize the impact drugs can have on our community.
