Keep Arkansas Beautiful

The Keep Arkansas Beautiful campaign is about to kick off its 2nd annual event beginning September 11th and will continue through October 31st. The goal of this event is to turn the entire state “green”, by sponsoring a cleanup in every single county throughout the state. Families, neighborhoods, church groups, even businesses are encouraged to rally together to spend a few hours picking up trash in their local area. In past years this initiative has involved 7,000 yearly volunteers committing over 28,000 hours of community service. Over 153,000lbs of litter from 862 miles of Arkansas roadway has been collected alongside 1,368 acres of parks and public areas cleaned up. At this time there are no cleaning events scheduled in Howard County to participate.
