Howard County Tax Collection

Statistics concerning Howard County taxes collected are in. $6.9 million dollars in taxes were collected this year for Howard County. Chief Deputy Collector Olena Morris said just under $1 million dollars in taxes were not collected by the October 15th deadline.

Morris said the largest single day collection took place on October 12th, with $954,000 in taxes being received by the collector’s office. Any taxes not paid or postmarked by the October 15th deadline are subject to a 10% penalty.
