Murfreesboro maintaining roads and ditches

The city of Murfreesboro has recently finished several paving projects and ditch clean-outs around town. Council members discussed additional cleanup projects at Monday’s council meeting. A few more ditch clean-outs are planned and work has not started yet on the city “super ditch.” During the meeting, the council accepted a bid from Branch Construction for work on Washington Street.

In other agenda items, the Murfreesboro council met new drug task force officers that were present at the meeting. The council voted to give $1500 to assist with operations. A review of the millage resulted in no change to the current 3 mills.
