Accident claims life of Mineral Springs resident

A Mineral Springs resident died Saturday evening from injuries received in a two-vehicle accident. Arkansas State Police identified the victim as 19-year-old Mecedric McFadden, Jr. Authorities say McFadden was the driver of a 2009 Ford Focus that was westbound on Highway 67 near Fulton. McFadden entered the eastbound traffic and hit the driver’s side door of the Ford F250, that was being driven by a minor. McFadden was pronounced dead at the scene by the Miller County Coroner. Two passengers in McFadden’s vehicle were injured. Those individuals were identified as 39-year-old Mecedric McFadden Sr., of Little Rock, and 20-year-old Dayla Dancer of Garland, Texas. The minor driver of the Ford truck was also injured in the accident. The three injured individuals were taken to hospitals in Texarkana and Shreveport.
The accident was reported around 6:15 Saturday evening.
