To early to plant; but time to spray fruit trees
With some warm weather the past few week, many people are thinking about gardening and spring planting. Pike County Extension Agent Terrell Davis says it may still be a little early. The area experienced a light, scattered frost last week…and another round is possible by the end of this week. Davis says the ideal soil temperature for planting should be in the 60 to 65 degree range:
While it may still be just a little early for spring planting, Davis says now is the time to think about spraying your fruit trees:
