Scrappers and Scrapperettes to compete in regional baseball and softball tournaments this week
The high school baseball and softball regional tournaments are scheduled to begin later this week in Arkansas. The 4A South Region tournaments will be played at Malvern. In softball, the Scrapperettes enter the tournament as the number one seed from 7-4A. Head Coach Brian “Boomer” Brown says Nashville is scheduled to play Crossett Thursday afternoon at three o’clock.
In baseball, the Scrappers secured the three seed from the district and will face Star City Thursday afternoon at 5:30, according to Coach Kyle Slayton. Star City is the number two seed out of conference 8-4A. The top four teams coming out of the regional tournaments will advance to the state baseball and softball tournaments, which will be played in Nashville, May 12th through 14th.
