HMH CEO to serve second term on Arkansas Hospital Association Board of Directors

Earlier this week, Howard Memorial Hospital CEO Debra Wright provided the board of directors with an update on several projects.

Wright said the hospital performed 168 COVID tests as of August 15 and 67 were positive for a positivity rate of 40 percent. She said Howard County’s Covid rating was reduced from high to medium. However, Wright said she felt the number of positive cases was being underreported due to home testing.

Wright reported she attended an in-person Arkansas Hospital Association Board of Directors meeting. She said they discussed the impact of Covid-19 on the financial health of hospitals in 2021.

Wright said she was also asked to serve another term on the board, and she was glad to accept.
