Pike County deputies rescue puppies from house fire

On February 11, 2023, Pike County Deputies responded to a call of a house on fire. Deputies were close to the area and arrived approximately 1 minute after the call was put out. Deputies observed the residence to be on fire and were made aware there were 3 puppies inside the residence. The deputies immediately took action and began gathering water from outside and started extinguishing the fire before it could spread and cause a total loss. Deputies made entry and saved the puppies and the property.
