Delight Resident Charged

A Delight resident has been charged with a felony count of Attempted Third Degree Escape. Authorities say 21 year old Jesse Jackson was being held in the Pike County Jail for charges from the city of Murfreesboro. Jackson appeared in district court November 8th. Following sentencing, authorities say Jackson was being escorted from the courtroom at which time he broke free from the jailer and fled into the lobby of the Pike County Jail in an attempt to leave the building. Reports say jailers & deputies recaptured Jackson and after being placed in handcuffs and leg shackles, he was escorted to a holding cell.
