Dierks School District hires Head Boys’ Basketball Coach

Last week, the Dierks School Board held a special-called-meeting. A motion was made by Justin Simmons and seconded by Kara Tedford to hire Taylor Collum as the head boys’ basketball coach, along with spring sports, as per the 2023-2024 salary schedule. All were in favor of the motion.

Coach Collum comes to Dierks from Fouke where he led the team to their highest total in over a decade. Collum also guided the team to their first regional tournament in over 8 years. Before he was the head coach for the Panthers, he was the Head Junior High Basketball coach at Danville.

Another motion was made by Laykon Graham and seconded by Jeffrey Mounts to hire Beth Shelton as junior high cheer coach. All were in favor of the motion.
