Glenwood man arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia

On May 4th, Corporal Ryan Wingo witnessed a black jeep traveling South on 1st street with the driver not wearing a seatbelt and the windshield with several cracks across it. Wingo also reported that after he turned around and got behind the vehicle, he noticed the brake lights were not operating when the driver was coming to a stop at the stop sign.

According to the affidavit, once Ringo pulled the driver over, the driver told Ringo that he didn’t have insurance on his vehicle and handed Ringo an Arkansas CDL identifying him as 43 year old Tony McCann of Glenwood. Ringo reportedly had McCann sit on the front of his unit while he ran a computer check on McCann, which showed him having a valid Class A CDL along with being an Active Supervision Probation with a search waiver on file.

As reported, Ringo then began to search McCann’s vehicle and noticed under the center console’s compartment was a glass smoking pipe with residue and a small baggie with a crystal like substance. McCann was arrested and transported to the Pike County Jail and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, no seatbelt, no liability insurance, windshields to be unobstructed, and defective tail lights.
