Traffic stop leads to arrest

On April 19th Dierks Police Officer Kyler Turner made a traffic stop on Old Hwy 70. It was reported that the driver was identified as 49-year-old Jose Guadalupe Vega. According to the affidavit, after Officer Turner performed a sobriety test on Vega, Turner transported Vega to the Howard County Jail and while at the jail Vega presented two forms of documentation to the jailer that were fake.

As reported, while officers of the Nashville Police Department were talking to Vega, they concluded that Vega possessed a fake social security card and fake permanent resident card. Vega allegedly confessed to officers that these cards were indeed fake, and he uses them for jobs. Vega was charged with forgery.
