JPs of Howard County approves new emergency ordinance
Yesterday at the Howard County Quorum Court regular monthly meeting, Justices of the Peace passed a motion to approve Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton’s recommendation that was in regard to the Greenhouse, here in Nashville. Pinkerton stated that this benefits the farmer’s market and that it could be used by the public, students at the Nashville School District, and the 4-H Organization and that it stays in the same location. Judge Pinkerton stated that the Greenhouse belongs to the county, but it was funded by a grant through Weyerhaeuser.
Jps also approved a motion to pay for the internet bill of the Howard County Extension Office for the remainder of the year that will be provided by Verizon for $40 per month. Justices of the Peace also passed another motion to adopt an emergency ordinance that was in regard to adopting certain rules and regulations concerning external noise, attenuation of data centers, and to prevent noise disturbances in Howard County and within its unincorporated limits; to declare an emergency; and for otherĀ purposes. These noises are considered as noise pollution. Judge Pinkerton stated that the Association of Arkansas Counties recommends that each county take action on this ordinance to have guidelines on these companies and that way the county will have control of the noise that’s submitted from these crypto currencies type of businesses.
