County Health Improvement Community Coalition At Rotary

Donna Webb, administrator of the Howard County Health Unit, was one of several members of the Howard County Health Improvement Community Coalition to speak at the Nashville Rotary meeting on Wednesday.

Webb stated the coalition was formed in 2011 and currently Nashville is a ‘Thriving’ community which is the highest distinction among community coalitions. She also said several Howard County coalition programs have been used as models in other communities.

Webb also reported that Howard and Hempstead counties have been selected for a pilot program called Substance Abuse Resources Assistance Coalition (SARAC) to study the affects of adult opioid addition in the lives of children.

The Howard County Health Improvement Community Coalition will hold a public meeting on Thursday, December 5th.
