Three men injured in Accident in Hempstead County

An Arkansas State Trooper, Antonio May along with two volunteer firemen were taken to St. Michael’s Hospital in Texarkana on Tuesday September 19th after being struck by a pickup. It was reported that right before 6pm Trooper May was on I-30 marker 35 in Hempstead County working a wreck and his unit was parked in the highway in order to block one of the lanes of traffic. The two volunteer firefighters who responded to the scene parked their pickup in front of Trooper May’s unit.

It was reported that the three men were standing in front of the pickup truck when a vehicle crashed into the back of the trooper’s unit, causing it to hit the pickup truck, and the three men were then struck by the pickup. Officials say all three individuals were reportedly treated and released. The state police are still investigating the crash. Trooper May said quote “I’m just truly blessed.”
