William Guy White
William Guy White, known to many as Bill, passed away on May 7, 2026, in Texarkana, Texas, leaving behind a life marked by hard work, devotion to family, faith, and a gift for bringing joy to those around him. He was born on February 5, 1953, in Ulysees, Kansas, and throughout his life he carried with him the values of honesty, loyalty, and a good sense of humor. Bill lived a full and meaningful life, and he will be remembered with love by all who knew him.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Glen White and Donna Marie Findley White, and by one brother, Bob White. Their memory remained an important part of his life, and he honored his family roots through the way he lived and cared for those around him. He was a man who understood the importance of family ties and the strength that comes from a life built on love, respect, and shared memories.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Dana White of Nashville, who stood beside him through life’s many seasons. Their bond was one of deep companionship, mutual support, and enduring love. Bill was also a proud father to three children, Greg White of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Grant White of Texas, and Becca White Herrington of Dierks. He treasured his children and took great pride in the people they became. Bill is also survived by his siblings, Glenna Nivens of Nashville, Donna White of Murfreesboro, Becky Reeder of Mineral Springs, Jim White of Nashville, Joe White of Nashville, Ricky White of Murfreesboro, and Roger White of Nashville. He shared a lifetime of memories with his brothers and sisters, and those family connections were an important part of who he was. In addition, he leaves behind nine grandchildren and a large host of friends who will miss his presence, his stories, and his steady encouragement. Bill spent his working years as a millwright, and he was respected for his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic. He approached his work with the same dependable spirit that he carried into every part of his life. Outside of work, Bill enjoyed the simple pleasures that made life rich and memorable. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and making people laugh. He had a natural ability to brighten a room and lift the spirits of others with his humor and warm personality. He also enjoyed writing poetry and telling stories, and he had a special gift for turning ordinary moments into lasting memories. His laughter was infectious, and his presence brought comfort and joy to family and friends alike. He was also a member of the First Christian Church, where his faith was an important part of his life. His church membership reflected the values he held dear, including kindness, fellowship, and a belief in living with purpose and grace.
Services for Mr. White will held on Saturday, May 23 at 1 pm at the Nashville Funeral Home.
