Free Summer Meals Available for Kids and Teens in Howard and Pike Counties

Free, nutritious lunches are available now through August 3 for children and teens in Howard and Pike Counties through the USDA Summer Feeding Program. The program ensures youth 18 and under have access to healthy meals while school is out for the summer.

In Mineral Springs (Howard County), meals are distributed Tuesdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Glory Bee Ministries, 318 Bridgeman Drive (Mineral Springs Church of Christ). Parents or guardians can pick up meals without children being present. Three days of meals are provided on Tuesdays and four days on Fridays. For more information, call (870) 451-4441.

In Murfreesboro (Pike County), meals are available Mondays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Blessed Beginnings, 403 2nd Avenue (Murfreesboro First United Methodist Church, enter via the Family Life Center on 3rd Street). Parents or guardians may also pick up meals without children. Three days of meals are distributed on Mondays and four days on Thursdays. For details, contact (870) 285-2579.
