LifeShare Highlights School Programs and Community Support in Part Two of Interview

In Part Two of our sit-down interview with Nina Anderson, Account Manager for LifeShare Blood Center along with Tim Pinkerton, Executive Director of the Nashville Chamber of Commerce, the focus shifted to LifeShare’s educational outreach and the community’s ongoing involvement in blood donation efforts.

Anderson explained that LifeShare offers two different programs for schools in the surrounding areas, aimed at educating students and encouraging early involvement in life-saving efforts.

She went on to describe the requirements for students to be eligible to donate blood, emphasizing safety and proper consent for younger donors.

Anderson also highlighted the significance of long-term donors, mentioning individuals who have reached the 10-gallon and even 20-gallon milestones, recognizing their dedication to the cause.

Adding a personal touch to the conversation, Tim Pinkerton shared the story of his first experience giving blood.

To conclude the interview, Anderson announced the upcoming blood drive dates for next month, encouraging residents to mark their calendars and help meet the ongoing need.
