Texarkana Woman Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash Near Ashdown

ASHDOWN, AR (July 21, 2025) — A three-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 71 South near Ashdown Monday evening claimed the life of a Texarkana woman, according to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police.

The accident occurred around 6:23 p.m. when 28-year-old Kaprienceya Holloway of Texarkana was traveling southbound in a 2022 Chevrolet Explorer. Holloway’s vehicle struck the rear of a 2024 Freightliner tractor trailer, which was stopped in the outside southbound lane.

A 2024 Kia Sorento, also traveling southbound, attempted to swerve and avoid the collision but also struck the tractor trailer.

Holloway was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported at the time of the crash.

Trooper Joshua Broughton with the Arkansas State Police is leading the investigation.
