Umpire man charged with theft by receiving
A trail date of March 12, 2024 has been set in the case of the State of Arkansas vs 29-year-old Steven Hunter Alexander of Umpire.
Alexander was charged with theft by receiving in March of this year.
According to the affidavit, members of the 9th West Drug Task Force and members of the Howard County Sheriffs office executed a search and seizure warrant at a property in Athens that was being occupied by Alexander. During the execution of the warrant, officers located a dump trailer that had been reported stolen from Pike County.
Officers also found a 30-foot gooseneck trailer that had been reported stolen from Howard County in 2022.
The gooseneck trailer was valued at $10,000 and the dump trailer was valued at approximately $1,000.
Alexander was taken into custody and released on bond.
