Nashville PD investigating the attempted robbery of two ATMs
On 1-5-2024 at approximately 1:00 am, Nashville City Officer’s responded to 1101 S 4th Region’s Bank, in reference to an ATM alarm. When officers arrived, they saw that the door to the ATM had been pried open. The inside door on the ATM was still intact, and no money was taken from the machine. At 1:29 am, Officer David Galvan noticed that the ATM at First State Bank had been tampered with as well. The outside door had been damaged but the inside was still intact. No money was taken from the ATM.
Video showed a dark colored pickup truck pull into the First State Bank parking lot and one black male wearing a mask get out and pry the front door open on the ATM. At around 8:45 on today’s date a subject called from the Ridgeway Edition in Nashville reporting that his 99 dark green Chevrolet Pickup had been stolen. After video was examined, the stolen pickup truck is in fact the same truck used in the attempted break-ins.
This incident is still being investigated.
