Governor Sanders Appoints Glenwood Resident to State Petroleum Advisory Committee

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced a new appointment today to the Advisory Committee on Petroleum Storage Tanks, naming Elliot Blackmon of Glenwood to serve on the panel.

Blackmon’s appointment fills a previously vacant position, with a term set to expire on December 31, 2027.

The Advisory Committee on Petroleum Storage Tanks provides guidance and oversight related to the regulation, safety, and environmental impact of petroleum storage systems across the state. Members are typically selected for their knowledge and experience in environmental protection, engineering, or related industries.

This appointment is part of Governor Sanders’ ongoing efforts to strengthen key advisory boards with qualified Arkansans from across the state.
