Howard County Judge updated JPs on the airport project

Yesterday JPs of the Howard County Quorum met for their regular monthly meeting.  

Treasurer Sherri Mixon reported the revenue for the month of December 2023, for county general $987,212.66, the total revenue for year to date was $3,200,963.73 with a balance of $348,671.73. Mixon stated that she was 13 percent over what she projected. Mixon also said that she projected $168,000 for fines and forfeitures but they actually brought in $210,000 which was about $42,558 dollars over what she projected.

Howard County Judge Brent Pinkerton informed the JPs that the project at the airport is about 50 percent done and that contractors have been paid for the work they’ve done so far but they haven’t had any word about the grant. 

In conclusion, Judge Pinkerton informed the quorum on when the veteran service officer will be available in Nashville and in Dierks.

Pinkerton told the quorum that he hopes to have the next quorum court meeting February 20th if the weather permits.
