Scrappers Stun Arkadelphia with Gritty 24-23 Victory on the Road

In one of the most thrilling games of the season, the Nashville Scrappers delivered a statement win Friday night, edging out the Arkadelphia Badgers 24-23 in a hard-fought battle that came down to a game-saving stop in the final moments.
The Badgers struck first, taking a 7-0 lead in the opening quarter. Nashville responded in the second, as Josh Walker came up with a clutch interception and returned it for a touchdown, cutting the deficit to 7-6 after the missed extra point.
Arkadelphia extended their lead to 17-6 in the third quarter with a touchdown and a field goal, but the Scrappers weren’t finished. Tucker Dixon punched in a score to make it 17-12, keeping Nashville within striking distance.
The Scrapper offense kept rolling, scoring again to push the lead 18-17.
Then came the turning point in the fourth quarter — a huge defensive play by the Scrappers. Abari Williams forced a fumble, and Jaylen Staggers recovered it and returned it for a touchdown. The score pushed Nashville ahead 24-17.
Arkadelphia answered late with a touchdown to make it 24-23 and elected to go for two — but the Nashville defense stood their ground, stuffing the attempt and preserving the one-point lead.
With the win, Nashville improves to 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in conference play. The Scrappers will return home this week to face Fountain Lake in their Homecoming matchup. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM, and B99.5 will provide live coverage of the game.
