Immanuel Baptist Church to Celebrate 100-Year Anniversary This Sunday

Coming up this Sunday, October 5th, Immanuel Baptist Church in Nashville will celebrate a historic milestone — its 100-year anniversary.
The centennial celebration is expected to bring together current members, former pastors, and members of the community for a day of worship, reflection, and fellowship.
KMTB and KNAS had the opportunity to sit down with Pastor Paul Herndon and long-time member Holly Couch to talk about the significance of this momentous occasion.
Pastor Herndon shared details about a recent project that has helped prepare the church for its next century of service.
He also spoke from the heart about what it means to lead a church with such a rich and enduring legacy.
Holly Couch, who has been part of the congregation for many years, shared some of the special ways the church has been preparing — including a look back at its long and meaningful history.
She also reflected on one memory from her childhood that still stands out.
Couch also took a moment to honor the church’s charter members, many of whom helped lay the foundation for what Immanuel Baptist Church is today.
The 100-year celebration at Immanuel Baptist Church will be a day filled with gratitude, worship, music, and community — honoring both the past and the bright future ahead.
