Murfreesboro FFA Chapter

National F.F.A. Week was initiated by the National Future Farmers of America Organization — a youth leadership organization, and one of the largest in the U.S., to make a positive difference in the lives of young people by developing their potential for leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education.

This week we’ve been recognizing schools in the local area and students that play a part in FFA.

Today we will conclude by highlighting the Murfreesboro High School FFA Chapter.

Murfreesboro FFA Advisor Reggie Lamb stated that their chapter has 27 members this year. The president is Lexi Rowe, Vice President Kyla Collins, Reporter Kaleb Delarosa, and Sentinel Daelyn Henderson. In this interview, we had the opportunity to speak with Chloe Beck who is the Secretary, Jada Matthews who is the Treasurer, and Justen Carry who is the Junior Advisor.
Beck stated that this was her second year in FFA. She stated that she does poultry and she explained what she does while judging.

Matthews talked about what she does in FFA, and she mentioned the most challenging part when judging land.

Carey said that he loves meeting new people along with mentioning what he loves about being in FFA.

Lamb discussed some of the fundraisers they’ve been involved in, the different CDEs that they have competed in, and how they are giving back to the community this year.
