The Mineral Springs City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, where both the Fire and Police Departments provided their reports for the month of September.

Fire Chief Chris Hosteler shared that the Mineral Springs Fire and Rescue Department conducted two drills last month and responded to a total of seven calls. Of those, four were first responder calls, two involved gas leaks, and one was a tractor fire.

Police Chief Francisco Mercado reported that his department issued 17 citations in September. They also filed seven offense reports, responded to seven accidents, and made five misdemeanor arrests along with two felony arrests.

Chief Mercado also announced that the department will host a Drug Take Back Day on October 25th, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

This event will provide residents with a safe way to dispose of unused or expired medications.
