The Nashville School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, with all members present except Anthony Whitmore and Tem Gunter. The board addressed several key items related to staffing, policy updates, and district operations.

Among the approved personnel changes, the board voted to hire Brenda Perez as a Migrant Tutor and Konisha Taylor as a High School Custodian.

The board also approved updates to Board Policies 3.56, 4.5, and 8.46, as part of routine policy maintenance and compliance updates. In addition, the board approved continued accidental death and dismemberment insurance coverage for staff.

A major purchase was also approved: the district will acquire a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado truck for use by the maintenance department. The cost of the new vehicle is $51,500.

During the financial report, Superintendent Doug Graham informed the board that the district is currently 36.4% through their fiscal budget, with an operating balance of $4,672,844 dollars. He also noted that the Elior food account maintains a balance of $338,000, and overall, district finances appear to be in good shape.
