Two Pike County Men Face Charges in Burglary and Fire Investigation

Two Pike County men are under investigation in connection with a burglary, arson, and stolen firearm case.
According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, on October 10th, 2025, Investigator Casey Parker and Chief Deputy Joey Davis interviewed Dylan Cardoso 26 of Dequeen, at the Pike County Detention Facility regarding a stolen firearm that had been recovered from a vehicle Cardoso was driving in a separate incident.
During the interview, Cardoso reportedly admitted that he and Alex Faulkner broke into a neighboring duplex apartment by smashing a back window. Cardoso told investigators that Faulkner took two black handguns from the home and then set a fire in the kitchen to make it appear as if the residence had been robbed. Cardoso also admitted to damaging the home before leaving the scene.
Cardoso said that Faulkner later returned to pick him up, and when the two came back to the area, the apartment was fully engulfed in flames. While firefighters were working to contain the blaze, Nashville Police arrested Faulkner for disorderly conduct related to a separate incident at the scene.
Later that morning, one of the stolen firearms was recovered from Faulkner’s vehicle after it was crashed while being driven by Cardoso. Investigators confirmed the weapon belonged to the burglary victim after matching its serial number with purchase records.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges are expected as the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and Nashville Police Department continue to coordinate in the case.
