Sevier County Sex Offender Arrested for Violations, Suspected CSAM

DE QUEEN — A Level 3 sex offender in Sevier County has been arrested after authorities say he violated state restrictions and was found with suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

According to the Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were notified in November that 50-year-old Nolen Baker had attended the Hurrah Day Festival in De Queen—an area prohibited for registered sex offenders due to its proximity to children’s activities. After confirming his attendance, investigators sought an arrest warrant.

On Nov. 21, Investigator Chet Stubbs interviewed Baker, gathering information that led to a search warrant for his cell phone. During a forensic review, investigators found undisclosed social media accounts Baker was required to report, along with browser activity leading to images and videos believed to be CSAM. Additional arrest affidavits were submitted based on these findings.

Baker is now charged with failure to register, possession of CSAM, and violating restrictions barring him from areas where children are present. The investigation remains ongoing.
