Mineral Springs City Council Makes Key Appointments, Approves Employee Bonuses

The Mineral Springs City Council addressed several personnel and financial matters during their regular monthly meeting this week.
Council members approved a motion to appoint Chrishauna Harris as the city’s new Recorder/Treasurer.
In a special called meeting, alderman Frankie Harris made a motion—seconded by alderman Vanessa Hendrix—to hire Stephanie Harrison as Financial Secretary for the City of Mineral Springs.
During Monday’s meeting, Harrison informed the council that delays in receiving financial information are expected until she gains digital access to city accounts.
After discussion, aldermen James Jean and Frankie Harris made a motion, which passed, granting Harrison “view-only” access to all city accounts at Diamond Bank. This access is expected to help streamline financial reporting once established.
The council also approved paying by check for the city’s new Jet Machine, which costs approximately $76,000, opting to avoid financing. Additionally, employee bonuses for all city workers were approved as part of the meeting’s agenda.
