Bonnerdale man arrested in Pike county for drug possession

On April 12th, Officer Stacy Watson with the Glenwood Police Department observed 32-year-old Bobby Applegate of Bonnerdale, driving a car in Glenwood. 

According to the affidavit, Watson knew that Applegate had a warrant for his arrest out of Montgomery County. After Applegate made a stop at an Exxon store, Watson reportedly walked into the store and told Applegate to walk outside. 

Special Agent Chance Reid with the 9th West Drug Task Force as well as Glenwood Police Chief Greg Harmon arrived on scene. Reid noticed the passenger, 33-year-old Delia Garza of Glenwood had a search waiver through Arkansas Probation and Parole, so Reid asked Garza to step out of the car. 

Officers then reportedly started a search on Garza and the vehicle. It was reported that Reid found multiple bags of crystal substance, unused plastic baggies, two sets of digital scales, a glass smoking pipe, a pink rubber cylinder containing a crystal-like rock in it, and a baggie containing three broken white pills in it. Reid eventually found another bag of crystal substance on Garza. 

As reported after officers executed a search warrant on Applegate’s phone, Reid saw multiple messages to and from Garza where they were facilitating drug deals, as well as multiple other drug deals Applegate was facilitating. 
Applegate and Garza were arrested and transported to the Pike County Detention Center and charged with Possession of methamphetamine with the purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
