HCCC Assistant Director guest speaker at Nashville Rotary Club

Howard County Children’s Center assistant director Andrea Murphy provided the Nashville Rotary Club with an update concerning the upcoming Radiothon. She said this year’s Radiothon will be Tuesday, May 28 in the children’s center cafeteria.

Murphy reported the center used the funds raised during last year’s Radiothon for a new roof, smart TV and an AC unit for the administration building. She also mentioned what they plan to use this year’s funds for at the center.

Murphy said this year’s Husqvarna Bass Tournament had about 40 boats registered, and was a great success.

She said the outdoor sportsplex has been completed and clients are preparing to compete in the upcoming Special Olympics.

Murphy also mentioned the center was renovating the Rainbow Learning Center to accommodate additional clients. She also mentioned the center would be offering summer childcare, this year.
